REEDLEY — REGIONAL UPDATE, OCTOBER 22, 2026. Reedley readers are close to Sanger, where storm-related power interruptions were reported Wednesday, October 21. That makes the event nearby news, but the published outage figures do not establish which Reedley accounts, if any, were affected.
According to Sanger News, the California58 local newsroom following the Fresno County incidents, PG&E’s outage map showed a combined 9,702 customers affected in 14 outages across the Fresno and near-Selma area during a Wednesday afternoon, October 21 snapshot. Most of those cases were attributed to the storm. Earlier in the day, separate outages were reported in the Clovis and Sanger areas.
Those figures are historical observations, not proof that the same customers remained without power on October 22. PG&E may restore one circuit while continuing repairs on another.
Was Reedley affected?
The underlying reports do not establish a separate Reedley outage or customer total. The large Wednesday-afternoon PG&E snapshot concerned Fresno and near Selma, while separate earlier reports concerned the Sanger and Clovis areas. These were distinct interruptions at different times, not one confirmed outage covering every town.
How residents can follow conditions
If your Reedley service was affected, check the utility’s incident record for the specific address, even if someone in neighboring Sanger has a restoration message. Shared weather conditions do not guarantee a shared feeder or repair timetable.
Customers can consult the PG&E outage map and the reporting line 1-800-743-5002. Stay clear of downed wires and report immediate hazards to 911. PG&E’s separately published October 22 Public Safety Power Shutoff forecast did not anticipate a planned PSPS on this date; that does not rule out accidental storm-related outages.
